Our Volunteer and Spiritual Services Program provide support through;

 Orientation & Training
 Registration of Contributions
 In-services
 Newsletters
 Appreciation Events
 Letters of Reference & Support

Collectively, the PNHR has approximately 3,900 volunteers who participate in 30 facilities/programs and 15 auxiliaries.  We have many volunteers, both in rural and urban centers who are involved in more than one program, serving facility-based and community based programs.  Each facility is unique and attracts volunteers interested in that sites particular range of programming.

The program is comprised of the Manager, located in the Battlefords, with coordinators in both Lloydminster and Meadow Lake.  Volunteer management consists of program planning, recruitment, orientation, on-going training, evaluation and appreciation.  The program promotes staff/volunteer relationships, awareness of volunteerism and the scope of volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers are classified into four categories;

1. Individual; visitation, Meals On Wheels drivers, palliative care and greeter/clinic volunteers.
2. Group; entertainment, service organizations & corporate/business, schools.
3. Auxiliary
4. Ministerial and Spiritual Service Laity
